A residence conceptualized for a joint family that values togetherness, traditions, and a shared way of living. The design nurtures their close-knit social fabric, with members residing in proximity and sharing key utility spaces without separation.

The architectural expression draws inspiration from traditional stone construction methods, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. At its heart lies a solid stone structure that evokes the permanence and tactile quality of old masonry buildings. Surrounding this, modern built forms unfold in lighter materials and finishes, creating a dialogue between the old and the new. The resulting composition is a harmonious amalgamation of heritage and modernity.

Spatial planning responds directly to the family’s lifestyle and needs. Common areas such as the living room, swimming pool, bar, and gazebo are designed as shared spaces, reinforcing the sense of unity. Thoughtfully landscaped zones connect these functions and integrate the residence with its natural surroundings, enhancing comfort and serenity.

Mahima Elanza set out to redefine existing practices and notions of residential apartment design in the city. The core design principle of houses placed around courtyard spaces in vertical towers of stepping form gives the development its unique character. This is also accentuated by large multi-leveled voids in the towers that open up sky views at the lower levels and interconnect the gardens.
