DoubleTree by Hilton, a 310 key, five-star business hotel lies in close vicinity of the Aerospace Park and the International airport of Bengaluru.
Taking cues from the pleasant climate of the city with its history of gardens, the design aims to recreate greens and gardens in the design at its various levels. The rooms and all other public areas are clustered around and overlooking the central courtyard. A large double heighted café also adjoins this court and extends the spaciousness of the green center.
Inspired by classical architectural elements, the simple façades make use of stylized ornamental moldings to add a classic timeless quality to the spaces. The large landscaped pool deck at the second level adds more grounds for the rooms to overlook upon in the compact hotel. The terrace on one of the wings is another of its greens, housing a terrace bar and grill and party areas and enjoying spectacular views of the airport runway.
Mahima Elanza set out to redefine existing practices and notions of residential apartment design in the city. The core design principle of houses placed around courtyard spaces in vertical towers of stepping form gives the development its unique character. This is also accentuated by large multi-leveled voids in the towers that open up sky views at the lower levels and interconnect the gardens.
